London calling VS fashion show 2014
Yeah, you got it right - it's the annual 'Victoria's Secret' fashion show.
And like every year, the runway was graced with beautiful angels that made us crave those undergarments even more.
With six incredible segments and an even greater lineup and performances the show definitely took our breaths away.
The show opens with an intro about London, introducing the models and the artists preforming at the show.
The first segment was opened by Behati Prinsloo, and closing the show was Candice Swanepoel.
'Gilded Angels'
Closed the segment - Lindsay Ellingson.
'Dream Girls'
Opening it was Lily Aldridge.
Closed the segment - Karlie Kloss.
'Exotic Traveler'
This year they chose both of them to wear a Fantasy bra, as a thank you from the brand to them for being a big part of the brand for such a long time now.
In this segment we get a live performance of Ed Sheeran, singing his hit single 'Thinking Out Loud'.
Closing the segment - Lais Riberio.
'University Of PINK'
In this segment we see the new fresh faces of the modelling industry, but most importantly - the next generation of the VS angels.
With a performance by Ariana Grande, singing a mix of her songs,
the PINK segment feels young, fresh and fun.
Opening the segment - Elsa Hosk.
Closing the segment - Jac Jagciak.
'Fairy Tale'
Perhaps the prettiest segment this year, featuring the singer Hozier, with his amazing song
'Take Me To Church' and an amazing enchanted scenery.
Although I'm not completely sure how the song itself fits the image of a fairy tale,
somehow they made it work, and I'm positive that song is what made the segment even more amazing.
Opening the segment - Candice Swanepoel.
'Angel Ball'
The last segment of the show is the sixth segment - 'Angel Ball'.
Featuring Taylor Swift with a the first live performance of the hit song 'Style' out of her new
album '1989'.
Opening the segment along with Taylor Swift is Karlie Kloss.
Closing the segment - Candice Swanpoel.
Over all, I think the show was good. You could see some really though out
details on the pieces, the delicacy of the signature wings, and the story behind each design. Those were some swoon worthy undergarments that we would surly like to have ourselves.
The line up was amazing, and you could see a nice variety of girls, and they were dressed to perfection.
The music choices were really good, each fitting perfectly with it's segment, adding to the story the garments are here to tell.
My one major put off from this show though, was the major involvement the
artists had with the models. I felt like there was too much touching, and in the PINK segment that even led to the singer, Ariana Grande to almost trip since she was standing too in the middle and Elsa's wings struck her.
