A healthier life style.
.New Year’s
Resolution – A healthier life style
Although we are getting pretty close to it being mid-February, it's never too late to
decide on new resolutions.
decide on new resolutions.
Last year most of my resolutions were school related (since
It was my senior year of high school), some were about places I wanted to visit
and things I wanted to do.
This year however, along with places I would like to visit and things that I would like to do, I have decided that what I care most about this year is taking better care of my body.
What do I mean by “taking better care of my body”?
-It means exercise more, and be less of a “couch potato”.
-Eat healthier food, and less junk food.
-Drink A LOT of water, and a lot less sweet beverages.
-Take better care of my skin – Use the right products to eliminate break-outs, moisturize my skin,
-and clean dead cells and the “reminders” of the day off of my skin before sleeping.
- Moisturizing my skin (using body butter/ lotions)
-Taking care of my nails – Using nourishing oils, and keeping them in good shape. (Now I know the last one might not be considered under the category of “healthier life style”, but it does indeed affect how you feel on a every day basis when you take care both physically and “aesthetically” of yourself.)
-ALWAYS wear sun screen during summer. Where I live, the sun rays can get a bit too excruciating, meaning that even a 5 minute trip down to the grocery store might get me to change skin tones. Now we all know that tanning without protecting our skin is dangerous and also might cause us to wrinkle way before our time (and now who wants that?!).

Now if there’s something I have to be honest about is that
unless someone picks me up and tells me “ ’Yo Sol, get off your bum and do some
work out” I’m most likely to procrastinate until the next year.
And the only workout routine I always find myself getting back to, is the “POP Pilates” videos.
Now if you have never heard of that YouTube channel, you are sure missing out on a lot! But you can find a work out for beginners on the website -Blogilates- I find it to be really motivating and useful because I end up doing those exercises at least once a week, and although being in pain and definitely “feeling the burn”, it makes me feel really good and a lot happier.
One of my personal favorites is the "Victoria Secret Model" routines, here's a selected due :
Those are defiantly ones I find myself coming back to A LOT, even a year after!
So those are my HEALTH related new year’s resolutions. If you’d like to hear a bit about my other, more “fun” resolutions, leave a comment down below! Also, I would like to know what your resolutions are. Have you been keeping up with them yet?
Lots of love, Sol .xx
